TURLOCK, Calif. — Stan State improved to 8-2 overall, extended its winning streak to six games and remained perfect at home (5-0) with two victories Sunday at the Stan State Invitational, defeating Saint Martin's 5-4 before shutting out Menlo 2-0 at Warrior Softball Field.
Stan State 5, Saint Martin's 4
Stan State showed its resilience in the opener, erasing a 4-1 deficit with a three-run sixth inning before walking it off in the seventh. Saint Martin's (6-4) struck for two runs in the first and added single tallies in the third and fifth to build its advantage. The Warriors answered in the fourth when Ava Montesdeoca reached and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Nat Camarena to cut the lead to 3-1.
The decisive rally came in the sixth. Montesdeoca doubled to left to start the inning and Malia Babasa worked a walk. Katelyn Bridgeman followed with a bunt single to load the bases, setting the stage for Camarena's RBI walk. With two outs, Katrina Rodriguez delivered a clutch two-run single to right field, tying the game at 4-4 and shifting momentum to the home dugout.
In the bottom of the seventh, Maggie Pyke drew a leadoff walk and advanced into scoring position. After a bunt single by Moxie Barton and another walk loaded the bases, Bridgeman lined a single to right center to score Barton for the walk-off victory. Bridgeman finished 2-for-4 with two RBI, while Montesdeoca scored twice and added a double and stolen base. Alexis Camberos (3-0) earned the win in the circle.

The contest remained scoreless until the bottom of the sixth. Bridgeman opened the inning with a bunt single and Nat Camarena followed with a base hit through the right side. After a sacrifice bunt moved both runners into scoring position, Madison Rosebrough delivered the big swing — a double down the left-field line that plated pinch runner Emily Bigley and Bridgeman for the only runs of the game.
Menlo mounted its best threat in the seventh with back-to-back singles to put runners in scoring position, but the Warriors cut down a runner at the plate before Himes induced the final out to seal her complete-game shutout and the 5-0 tournament run.
