Warriors Set for Homecoming and Senior Day Weekend at Fitzpatrick Arena

TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State women's basketball returns to Fitzpatrick Arena this week to host Cal State Dominguez Hills on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 5:30 p.m. before welcoming Cal State Los Angeles on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. Thursday's contest will serve as Stan State's Homecoming game, while Saturday marks Senior Day as the Warriors will recognize Krista Andersen and Alyssa Premo prior to tip-off.

Warriors Update

Stan State enters Homecoming week at 3–18 overall and 2–16 in CCAA play. The Warriors are averaging 57.4 points and 36.8 rebounds per game this season.

MilaSarai Tau leads the Warriors offensively at 12.8 points per game while shooting 44.4 percent from the field, adding 5.4 rebounds per contest. Alyssa Premo follows at 11.2 points per game and is shooting 42.5 percent from the floor, while converting 76.0 percent at the free-throw line.

Eryn Gardner anchors the interior, averaging 9.1 points and a team-high 9.0 rebounds per game, while also leading Stan State with 16 blocked shots. Quinn Garrett directs the offense with a team-best 52 assists, and Gardner paces the Warriors defensively with 37 steals.

As a team, Stan State has totaled 156 steals and 39 blocks on the season and continues to compete on the glass with 773 total rebounds through 21 games.

Weekend Recap

Stan State continued CCAA play on the road last week, facing No. 9 Cal Poly Pomona on Feb. 12 before closing the trip at Cal State San Bernardino on Feb. 14. The Warriors showed resilience throughout the weekend against two tough conference opponents.

At nationally ranked Pomona, Stan State competed for four quarters and continued to attack offensively, knocking down 10 three-pointers over the two-game stretch. The Warriors also shot 67.6 percent from the free-throw line across the weekend and averaged 36.0 rebounds per game, continuing to battle inside in conference play.

Sara Davis paced the Warriors with 11.5 points per game, connecting on five three-pointers, while Eryn Gardner was strong on the glass, averaging 11.0 rebounds per contest. Karissa Hukill added 8.5 points per game as Stan State continued to compete on both ends of the floor.

Trio Leading the Way

As the season enters its final stretch, the Warriors continue to lean on the consistent production of MilaSarai Tau, Alyssa Premo, and Eryn Gardner. Tau leads Stan State in scoring at 12.8 points per game while shooting 44.4 percent from the field and adding 5.4 rebounds per contest. Premo follows at 11.2 points per game and is converting 76.0 percent from the free-throw line, providing steady backcourt production. Gardner anchors the interior with 9.1 points and a team-best 9.0 rebounds per game, while also leading the team with 16 blocked shots.

CCAA Stat Leaders

Stan State continues to be represented among the CCAA's statistical leaders heading into the final stretch of the regular season. MilaSarai Tau ranks seventh in the conference in field goal percentage and 10th in scoring, highlighting her efficiency and consistent offensive production.

Eryn Gardner sits third in the CCAA in rebounding, anchoring the Warriors on the glass and providing a steady interior presence. Alyssa Premo ranks third in the conference in free-throw percentage, showcasing her reliability at the line and late-game composure.

Senior Day

Saturday's contest against Cal State Los Angeles will mark Senior Day as Stan State honors Krista Andersen and Alyssa Premo for their contributions to the program. Andersen, a transfer from Modesto Junior College, brought toughness and physical presence to the Warrior frontcourt, providing key minutes in the paint while earning recognition on the Stanislaus State Athletics Honor Roll.

Premo, who joined the Warriors after an accomplished career at Sierra College, has been a steady presence in the backcourt over the past two seasons. She elevated her role this year to average double figures in scoring while ranking among the CCAA leaders in free-throw percentage, combining strong on-court production with academic success.

Scouting Cal State Dominguez Hills

Cal State Dominguez Hills enters Thursday's matchup at 10–13 overall and 10–8 in CCAA play, riding a six-game winning streak. The Toros are averaging 64.5 points per game while shooting 38.1 percent from the field and 26.5 percent from three-point range, while also averaging 36.6 rebounds and 9.4 steals per contest to create opportunities in transition and apply defensive pressure. Bryanne Lopez-Wood leads CSUDH at 10.8 points per game while also contributing 5.2 rebounds and a team-high 92 assists. Tiara Jones adds 9.5 points per contest on 49.3 percent shooting, and Anela Thomas chips in 8.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.

Last Time vs. the Toros

Stan State battled to the final possession at the Torodome earlier this season, falling 79–74 in CCAA action after leading by as many as 15 points early in the fourth quarter. The Warriors surged with a 25–14 third quarter to take control before a late Toros run shifted momentum. Alyssa Premo scored a then career-high 21 points to lead Stan State, while Eryn Gardner added 17 points and eight rebounds, and MilaSarai Tau finished with 16 points, going a perfect 10-for-10 at the free-throw line.

Season Series vs. Cal State Dominguez Hills

Cal State Dominguez Hills holds a 19–12 advantage in the all-time series dating back to 2008. The Toros have won three of the last five meetings, while Stan State's most recent victory came on Feb. 3, 2024, with a 60–50 win.

Scouting Cal State Los Angeles

Cal State Los Angeles enters Saturday's matchup at 18–5 overall and 15–3 in CCAA play, riding a 12-game winning streak. The Golden Eagles are averaging 77.8 points per game while shooting 42.3 percent from the field and 32.0 percent from three-point range, outscoring opponents by +11.4 points per contest.

Nevaeh Asiasi leads LA at 19.0 points and 8.6 rebounds per game, while Sofia Fidelus adds 14.3 points and a team-high 124 assists. Amaya Fuentes chips in 10.0 points per game as the Golden Eagles average 17.8 assists and 10.5 steals per contest, ranking among the conference's most balanced and efficient teams on both ends of the floor.

Last Time vs. the Golden Eagles

Stan State showed strong early energy at University Gym earlier this season, building a first-quarter lead and trailing just 43–39 at halftime before falling 101–66 to Cal State Los Angeles. The Warriors opened on a 21–9 run and shot nearly 77 percent in the first quarter, staying within one possession for much of the opening half before a third-quarter surge by the Golden Eagles created separation. MilaSarai Tau recorded a career-high 22 points to lead Stan State, while Alyssa Premo added 16 points and Eryn Gardner tied her career high with 13 rebounds.

Season Series vs. Cal State Los Angeles

Cal State Los Angeles holds a 19–15 advantage in the all-time series dating back to 2008 and has won four consecutive meetings. The Warriors' last victory in the series came on Dec. 9, 2023, when Stan State earned a 62–61 win in Los Angeles.
