TURLOCK, Calif. – Stan State women's basketball competed in front of a Homecoming crowd Thursday evening at Fitzpatrick Arena, taking on Cal State Dominguez Hills in CCAA action. The Warriors battled throughout before falling 81-71.

First Quarter
Stan State worked to find an offensive rhythm early as both teams traded defensive stops. The Warriors stayed connected on the glass and began to settle in offensively late in the period, but the Toros held a 16-13 edge after one.
Second Quarter
The Warriors responded in the second, tightening defensively and creating scoring opportunities through ball movement and trips to the free throw line. Stan State chipped away possession by possession and closed the half strong, finishing the quarter with an 18-15 advantage to send the game into halftime tied at 31-31.
Third Quarter
Coming out of the locker room, Stan State delivered its best stretch of the night. The Warriors pushed the tempo, attacked the paint, and converted efficiently to outscore Dominguez Hills 28-22 in the third. With balanced scoring on the floor and timely buckets in transition, Stan State entered the fourth quarter with a 59-53 lead.
Fourth Quarter
Dominguez Hills answered with a decisive final period, using pressure defense and frequent trips to the free throw line to swing momentum. The Toros outscored the Warriors 28-12 in the fourth to secure the 81-71 final.
Warrior Notables
• Eryn Gardner finished with 16 points and a team-high 13 rebounds.
• Amya Vangkham-Griffin added her season-high 16 points, including three three-pointers, and went 5-for-5 at the line.
• Sara Davis scored 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting.
• Karissa Hukill chipped in 11 points and went 5-of-6 at the free throw line.

The Warriors return to Fitzpatrick Arena on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. to host Cal State Los Angeles on Senior Day. Stan State will then close the regular season on the road, visiting Cal State East Bay on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 5:30 p.m. in Hayward, Calif., before wrapping up the regular season at San Francisco State on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. in San Francisco, Calif. Cal State Los Angeles finished their Thursday night game with a 81-41 win against UC Merced.
