TURLOCK, Calif. — Stan State recognized seniors Alyssa Premo and Krista Andersen in a pregame ceremony Saturday afternoon at Fitzpatrick Arena, but Cal State Los Angeles pulled away in the second half to defeat the Warriors 93-45 in CCAA action.
Cal State Los Angeles improved to 20-5 overall and 17-3 in conference play, while Stan State moved to 3-20 overall and 2-18 in the CCAA.
First Quarter
The opening period was tightly contested, with both teams working to find an offensive rhythm. Stan State battled defensively and trailed just 10-8 after the first 10 minutes. Kalyn Harris knocked down a three-pointer to briefly give the Warriors a 3-2 lead, and the teams exchanged baskets throughout a low-scoring quarter.
Second Quarter
Cal State Los Angeles heated up in the second quarter, shooting 10-of-18 from the field and 6-of-8 from three-point range. The Golden Eagles built a double-digit lead midway through the period. Stan State responded late with a three-pointer from Alyssa Premo and a strong finish inside to trim the deficit to 36-26 at halftime.
Third Quarter
The Golden Eagles created separation in the third, outscoring Stan State 31-13. Cal State Los Angeles converted in transition and from beyond the arc to extend the margin to 67-39 entering the fourth quarter. Sara Davis and Amya Vangkham-Griffin added baskets for the Warriors during the stretch.
Fourth Quarter
Cal State Los Angeles shot 66.7 percent in the final period while limiting Stan State to one field goal. Quinn Garrett knocked down a pair of late free throws as the Golden Eagles closed out the 93-45 decision.
Warrior Notables
Alyssa Premo led Stan State with 11 points in her final home game.
Eryn Gardner recorded a game-high 12 rebounds, finishing with double figures on the glass for the Warriors.
Amya Vangkham-Griffin added seven points off the bench.
The Warriors forced nine steals and recorded five blocked shots defensively.

Stan State will close out the regular season on the road beginning Thursday, Feb. 26 at 5:30 p.m. against Cal State East Bay at Pioneer Gymnasium in Hayward.
The Warriors will then travel to San Francisco on Saturday, Feb. 28 for a 1:00 p.m. CCAA matchup against San Francisco State at The Swamp (SFFCU Gymnasium at Don Nasser Family Plaza). Both games will feature live stats and streaming on FloCollege.
