TRACY, Calif. — Stan State closed out the NorCal Crossover with a 3-1 victory over Western Oregon on Sunday afternoon at the Tracy Sports Complex, finishing the tournament 3-2 and improving to 11-5 overall heading into CCAA play.

The Warriors set the tone early with a three-run first inning and never looked back. Ava Montesdeoca worked a lead off walk and advanced into scoring position before Malia Babasa delivered a single to put runners on the corners. Katelyn Bridgeman followed with a two-RBI single to give Stan State a 2-0 advantage. Marley Hogue added a sacrifice fly later in the inning to extend the lead to 3-0.
Western Oregon threatened throughout the middle innings but was limited to one run in the sixth. Nat Camarena earned the win in the circle, working through traffic and keeping the Wolves from mounting a larger rally. The Warriors' defense turned multiple key outs to preserve the lead.
Stan State totaled seven hits in the contest and did not commit an error, sealing the victory with a strong defensive performance in the seventh.
NorCal Crossover Recap
The Warriors finished the five-game NorCal Crossover with a 3-2 record, bouncing back from an 0-2 start on Friday with three straight wins over Central Washington, Montana State Billings, and Western Oregon.
Stan State's offense came alive on Saturday, combining for 21 runs in the two victories while collecting 26 hits. The pitching staff settled in as the tournament progressed, delivering key relief innings and limiting damage in high-leverage situations.
Across the weekend, the Warriors showed resilience, responding to early adversity with balanced offensive production and improved execution on both sides of the ball. The 3-2 finish gives Stan State momentum as it transitions into conference competition.
The Warriors now sit at 11-5 overall entering CCAA play.
