TURLOCK, Calif. – Stan State women's tennis closed its four-match weekend in dominant fashion Monday afternoon, sweeping Chaminade 7-0 at the Stan State Tennis Courts.
The Warriors controlled the match from the opening doubles point and never looked back, winning all completed courts in straight sets.
Stan State set the tone early in doubles play. Emma Yu and Abbigail Mulick delivered a quick 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles, while Parker Orlando and Katrine Damkjær matched the effort with a 6-0 victory at No. 2 to secure the doubles point. The No. 3 doubles match featuring Maiah White and Emi Mikami went unfinished after the point was clinched.
The momentum carried directly into singles play as the Warriors swept all six courts. Mulick continued her strong stretch at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory, while Yu followed with a 6-1, 6-4 win at the No. 2 position.
Damkjær controlled her match at No. 3 singles, winning 6-1, 6-0, and Orlando turned in one of the most dominant performances of the afternoon with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4.
White and Mikami completed the sweep on the lower courts. White cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 5 singles, while Mikami sealed the final point with another 6-0, 6-0 performance at No. 6.
The victory caps a strong homestand for the Warriors, who earned multiple PacWest wins and secured a marquee victory over nationally ranked Hawai'i Pacific earlier in the week.
Stan State now looks to carry that momentum forward as the PacWest season continues.
