Warriors Use Depth to Defeat Concordia Irvine 5-2

IRVINE, Calif. – Stan State women's tennis earned a 5-2 PacWest victory over Concordia Irvine on Friday afternoon, using a strong doubles start and dominant play in the lower half of the lineup to secure the win.

The Warriors set the tone early, claiming the doubles point for their fourth consecutive match. Parker Orlando and Katrine Damkjær were first off the court with a 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles, and Emma Yu and Abbigail Mulick followed with a 6-3 victory at the top spot to give Stan State early momentum.

That energy carried directly into singles play.

Stan State took control of the match through the middle of the lineup, winning four straight courts to secure the dual. Parker Orlando put the Warriors in front with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles, finishing as the first singles court off.

Maiah White followed at No. 5 with another commanding performance, winning 6-0, 6-0 to extend the lead. Katrine Damkjær added a 6-0, 6-3 victory at No. 3 singles, before White's win officially clinched the match for the Warriors.

The bottom of the lineup continued to be a difference maker, as Stan State once again swept courts three through six. Emi Mikami added the final point at No. 6 singles, earning a 6-0, 7-5 win in a match that featured extended rallies late in the second set.

Concordia Irvine picked up wins at the top two singles positions, but the Warriors' depth proved decisive as they controlled the remainder of the lineup.

The victory highlights a growing identity for Stan State, which has consistently relied on production from the middle and lower courts while building momentum through doubles play.
