ROSEVILLE, Calif. – Stan State women's tennis delivered a complete performance Tuesday morning, sweeping Jessup 7-0 in PacWest play at Johnson Ranch Sports Club.
The Warriors controlled the match from the start, securing the doubles point with decisive wins at the top two positions. Emma Yu and Abbigail Mulick opened with a 6-1 victory at No. 1 doubles, while Parker Orlando and Katrine Damkjær followed with another 6-1 result at No. 2. The No. 3 doubles point was awarded to Stan State by default.
Stan State carried that momentum into singles play, earning straight-set wins across the top four courts. Yu led the way at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 victory, while Mulick was dominant at No. 2 with a 6-0, 6-0 result. Damkjær added a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 3, and Maiah White followed with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 4.
The No. 5 and No. 6 singles matches were also awarded to the Warriors by default, completing the 7-0 sweep.
The result provides a strong response for Stan State as the Warriors return to form heading into the final stretch of conference play.
