This year's Chi Alpha Sigma Class at Stan State
TURLOCK, Calif.--- During yesterday's STANYS awards, 28 Stan State student-athletes were inducted into the second class of the California Phi Chapter of the Chi Alpha Sigma (XAΣ) National Student-Athlete Honor Society.
"We celebrate not only the achievements of our scholar-athletes throughout their sport, but their unwavering commitment to excellence in the classroom," said Stan State Athletics Academic Advisor
Shealyn Craven. "As this year's class of Chi Alpha Sigma at Stan State, they continue to set a powerful example of what it means to lead with discipline, integrity, and purpose. They are the standard—where academic and athletic excellence unite."
To be inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, student-athletes must attend a four-year accredited institution affiliated with an organization such as the NCAA, maintain junior academic standing, and achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 while demonstrating strong character and commitment to athletics and academics.
The Stan State class posted an impressive collective GPA of 3.76.
