Warriors Collect CSC Academic All-District® Recognition

TURLOCK, Calif. – Stan State track and field/cross country student-athletes Luke Giannotta, Crystal Hernandez, Eligah Lawrence, Mila Real and Annie Wild have been named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team, recognizing their accomplishments both in competition and in the classroom.

The CSC Academic All-District® Team honors student-athletes who have excelled academically while competing at a high level for their respective programs. To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average while also meeting competition requirements established by CSC for track and field and cross country.

Giannotta excelled in the throwing events for the Warriors during the 2026 outdoor season, earning All-CCAA honors with a runner-up finish in the hammer throw at the CCAA Track & Field Championships. He recorded a season-best mark of 54.47 meters (178-8) in the event and finished the season ranked seventh in the NCAA West Region. Giannotta also ranked 28th in the region in the shot put with a season-best throw of 14.70 meters (48-2.75) and 46th in the discus at 42.70 meters (140-1). In the classroom, Giannotta earned recognition on the Stan State Fall Department Honor Roll and previously was named to the Department Honor Roll during both the fall and spring semesters in 2024-25. He was selected to the CSC Academic All-District® Team for his accomplishments in competition and academics.

Hernandez competed for the Warriors in cross country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field during the 2025-26 academic year. She helped lead Stan State to a 12th-place finish at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships and also represented the Warriors at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, where she earned Second Team All-America honors as a member of the distance medley relay team that placed ninth nationally. Hernandez was also part of the Warriors' USTFCCCA All-West Region distance medley relay during the indoor season. During the outdoor campaign, she recorded season-best marks of 2:12.09 in the 800 meters and 4:38.02 in the 1,500 meters while placing fifth at the San Francisco State Invitational during the cross country season. In the classroom, Hernandez earned recognition on the Fall 2025 CCAA Academic Honor Roll. Her accomplishments in competition and in the classroom earned her CSC Academic All-District® recognition.

Lawrence competed in the jumps and sprints for the Warriors during the 2026 outdoor season and ranked 22nd in the NCAA West Region in the triple jump. He recorded a season-best mark of 13.69 meters (44-11) at the Fresno Pacific Sunbird Invitational, where he placed third. Lawrence also finished fourth in the triple jump at the Kim Duyst Invitational and earned an eighth-place finish at the CCAA Track & Field Championships. In addition to competing in the triple jump, he also represented Stan State in the long jump, 100 meters and the 4x100-meter relay. His accomplishments in competition and in the classroom earned him CSC Academic All-District® recognition.

Real competed for the Warriors during the 2025-26 indoor track and field season, highlighted by her role on Stan State's distance medley relay team. She earned Second Team All-America honors as a member of the DMR that placed ninth at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships and was also part of the Warriors' USTFCCCA All-West Region relay squad. Individually, Real established Stan State indoor school records in both the 200 meters (24.90) and 400 meters (55.63) while recording the second-fastest 60-meter hurdles time in program history at 9.23. Her accomplishments in competition and in the classroom earned her CSC Academic All-District® recognition.

Wild, Stan State's 2025-26 Female Athlete of the Year and a five-time All-American, excelled for the Warriors in cross country and indoor track and field during the 2025-26 academic year. She earned cross country All-America honors with a 24th-place finish at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships while helping lead Stan State to a 12th-place team finish nationally. Wild also earned First Team All-America honors in the mile after placing third at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships with a time of 4:45.45 and garnered Second Team All-America honors as a member of Stan State's distance medley relay team that finished ninth nationally. During the cross country season, she placed second at the CCAA Championships and finished seventh at the NCAA Division II West Region Championships. Wild also earned USTFCCCA All-West Region honors in the mile, 800 meters and distance medley relay, was inducted into the 2025-26 Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society and earned recognition on the Fall 2025 CCAA Academic Honor Roll. Her accomplishments in competition and in the classroom earned her CSC Academic All-District® recognition.

For track and field and cross country, eligible nominees must rank among the top 50 in the NCAA regional rankings in an individual event during the indoor or outdoor track and field season or record a top-50 individual performance at the NCAA regional cross country championship. Nominees also must be at least sophomores academically and athletically while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
