TURLOCK, Calif. — Stan State is proud to announce that 47 Warrior student-athletes have been named to the 2025-26 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll. This prestigious honor recognizes student-athletes for their outstanding academic achievement while competing in CCAA-sponsored sports during the winter and spring seasons.

To be eligible, student-athletes must be of sophomore athletic standing or higher, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above, and have competed in a CCAA-sponsored winter or spring sport.

A total of 620 student-athletes from the CCAA's 12 member institutions earned 2025-26 Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll recognition, including 47 Warriors from Stan State. The conference recognized 129 student-athletes in winter sports and 491 in spring sports. Winter honorees competed in men's and women's basketball, while spring honorees represented baseball, softball, and men's and women's golf and track & field.

The 47 Warriors honored this year represented baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's golf, softball, and men's and women's track & field, demonstrating Stan State's commitment to excellence both in competition and in the classroom.

CCAA-sponsored winter and spring sports include men's and women's basketball, men's and women's golf, baseball, softball, and men's and women's outdoor track and field. Student-athletes competing in those sports who met the conference's academic and athletic participation requirements were eligible for recognition on the Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll.

Several Warriors earned repeat recognition on the CCAA Academic Honor Roll, underscoring their continued commitment to academic excellence. The CCAA denotes previous Academic Honor Roll selections with asterisks in its official release, recognizing student-athletes who have consistently excelled both in the classroom and in competition. Among Stan State's repeat honorees were Shane Callison, Tyler Crudo, Jason Cibull, Lloyd French, Chase Bird, McKenna Beach, Alyssa Premo, Crystal Hernandez, Bianca Scott, Pierce Sailer, Austin Sargent and Jared Sawyer.

Seventeen Warriors also earned Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognizing student-athletes for their combined achievements in competition and the classroom. Representing Stan State were men's basketball student-athletes Jason Cibull and Jordan Smith; women's basketball student-athletes Quinn Garrett and Alyssa Premo; softball student-athletes Moxie Barton and Alexandria (Yaya) Himes; baseball student-athletes Tyler Crudo, Mason Kelley, Zach Lewis and Pierce Sailer; men's golf student-athletes Chase Bird and Riley Kirk; and track and field/cross country student-athletes Luke Giannotta, Crystal Hernandez, Eligah Lawrence, Mila Real and Annie Wild.

Wild also earned CSC Academic All-America Second Team honors for the second consecutive year, becoming a two-time CSC Academic All-American. CSC Academic All-District honorees must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher while meeting sport-specific competition requirements.
 

Stan State's commitment to academic excellence was further recognized through the 2025-26 Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society, the national honor society recognizing collegiate student-athletes who excel in both the classroom and in competition. Warriors who earned both Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll recognition and Chi Alpha Sigma induction included Moxie Barton, Chase Bird, Shane Callison, Jason Cibull, Tyler Crudo, Eli Hancock, Aubrey Lascano, Bradley Olsen, Alyssa Premo, Kadon Quitno, Madison Rosebrough, Cameron Rosen, Pierce Sailer, Jared Sawyer, Bianca Scott and Annie Wild.

Warrior student-athletes also were honored during the 2025-26 Stanislaus State Athletics Yearly Showcase (STANYS). Jared Sawyer was named the Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while Annie Wild earned Female Athlete of the Year honors. The men's basketball team received the Community Engagement Award, while Pierce Sailer shared the Warrior Spirit Award, Christopher Ruiz shared the Will Keener Sportsmanship Award, and Katelyn Bridgeman was recognized as the Female Newcomer of the Year.
