LOS ANGELES — The Warriors were not able to get over the hump and trailed by double-digits most of the night as the Cal State L.A. Golden Eagles flew by Cal State Stanislaus, 85-66, in the Eagles Nest Friday night.

Rick Cardoso and Heath Colvin each had 17 points as the Warriors dropped to 3-13 overall and 2-7 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. It was CSUS's 10th loss in its last 11 games.

Playing without leading scorer Dejon Prejean, Cal State L.A. was led by two-time CCAA Player of the Week Vincent Camper with 26 points. Christopher Mark added 23 points and 17 rebounds. The Golden Eagles improved to 10-6 overall and 5-4 in league play.

The Warriors did not shoot well, but managed to stay in the game until halfway through the second half. However, Stanislaus was never able to cut the L.A. lead to single digits in dropping to 0-8 on the road this season.

Cal State Stanislaus chopped the LA lead to 11 points with a little more than 10 minutes left in the second half, but Cal State L.A. quickly turned it around for a 22-point, 72-50 lead, and never let up.

For the night, Stanislaus shot 22-for-62 from the field (36 percent) and was just 24 percent from behind the arch (6-for-25). The Golden Eagles had easy baskets, including a number of dunks and gimme layups, and shot 49 percent for the night.

Saturday night, the Warriors will try to pick up a split on the road trip when they take on Cal State Dominguez Hills in Carson. Live video of the game is available online on CSU Dominguez Hills' website at gotoros.com. Internet Webcast of the contest is also available at WarriorAthletics.com
