POMONA — The No. 32nd ranked Cal State Stanislaus women's tennis team won its fifth straight match by defeating Cal Poly Pomona, 6-3, Saturday afternoon.

The Warriors won the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches and went out to take four of six singles matches for the win to improve to 7-2 overall and 5-2 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. Cal Poly Pomona is now 4-10 and 2-3 in the CCAA.

Verena Preikschas and Katie Eng improved to 10-0 on the year as the No. 1 doubles team. They are 7-0 during CCAA play with three more conference dual matches remaining. Preikschas and Eng defeated Jennifer Chow and Fallon Blattner.

Heather Cotter and Lexy Harrington edged Kelley Wong and Michelle Stock at No. 3 doubles, 9-7.

Preikschas also won at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-1 over Jackie Trent and Eng defeated Chow at No. 2 doubles, 5-7, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4).

Vanesa Reibstein defeated Mallory Brady, 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3 singles and at No. 6, Heather Cotter was victorious over Blattner, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
