SAN FRANCISCO -- Karenee Demery continues to score at will against San Francisco State as the sophomore All-American netted two more goals to lead the Warriors over the Gators, 4-0, on Sunday.

Cal State Stanislaus scored three times, and got a gift from SFSU, in an eight-minute span to continue its dominance over San Francisco State. With the win, the Warriors improved to 7-3-4 overall and 6-3-3 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. Cal State Stanislaus remains in second place in the CCAA North, four points behind leader Sonoma State.

The win extends the Warriors' streak over San Francisco State as they have now gone undefeated in the last 17 meetings with a 13-0-4 record including a six-match winning streak.

"We played an absolutely fantastic game today in every phase," CSUS head coach Gabriel Bolton said. "SF State plays a very direct style and defensively we dealt very well with it."

The win is also the Warriors' second on the road this weekend as they improved to 4-1-2 away from home this season. It was the team's second undefeated road trip.

San Francisco State fell to 8-5-1 overall and 6-5-1 in the CCAA. The Gators will have to play their final four matches on the road.

For Demery, the two goals today brings her personal total to six career goals (out of 26) in three matches against SF State.

"Karenee was man marked the entire game but did a great job of working without the ball to free herself and create chances. She scored two phenomenal goals," Bolton said.

After a scoreless first half, Demery got the Warriors on the board in the 68th minute by blasting a 20-yard shot into top of the goal. She had picked up a long pass from Lauren Thornton and dribbled past defenders for the score.

Less than six minutes later, at 73:52, Apryl Whitney scored with a header on a Marissa Dunaway corner kick to give Stanislaus a 2-0 lead.

Things got uglier really quickly for the Gators as they bounced in a score on an own goal to give the Warriors a 3-0 lead at 74:23 -- just 31 seconds after the previous goal.

Then, 46 seconds later, Demery scored her second of the day (and team-leading 7th of the season) to give CSUS the 4-0 lead. Dunaway also assisted on the goal by sending in the cross.

"The great thing about this team is we have so many weapons that can score," Bolton added.

Stanislaus goalkeeper Millie Brown was credited with four saves before taking the final 7 1/2 minutes off. Brianna Murawski picked up a save and faced two shots.

The Warriors out-shot the Gators, 16-14 and  had six corner kicks to SFSU's three.

"The field conditions were absolutely brutal. I'm very proud of the mental toughness we showed battling those conditions as well as a good opponent to win in such a dominating fashion," said Bolton.
