KANSAS CITY, Mo.--- Stan State midfielder Aliah Avila has been named to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Women's Scholar All-America Second Team, adding one of the nation's top academic honors to her standout junior season. She was one of twenty-seven players across Division II to receive Scholar All-America recognition and becomes only the second Warrior ever to earn the award, joining Karenee Demery, who received the honor in 2012 and 2013.

Avila earned the prestigious honor following a decorated 2025 campaign in which she was named First Team All-CCAA and selected to the CCAA All-Tournament Team. She also collected United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region honors and was voted to the Academic All-District Team earlier this November.

A dynamic midfield presence, Avila led Stan State in points (seventeen), assists (seven), and game-winning goals (four) while driving one of the CCAA's most balanced attacks. Her consistency and ability to deliver in decisive moments helped guide the Warriors back to the postseason, where she again excelled during the conference tournament.

Avila has played a key role in the Warriors reaching the CCAA semifinals in each of the last two seasons and qualifying for the CCAA Tournament in three straight years. Overall, Stan State has advanced to the CCAA postseason for six consecutive seasons and reached the semifinals in three of the last four years, with Avila serving as a central figure in that sustained success.

Avila's Scholar All-America selection further elevates her growing legacy as one of Stan State's most productive offensive players. She now ranks seventh in program history with seventeen career assists and is tied for third all-time with eleven career game-winning goals.
