This Week
After enjoying two weeks of being at home, the Warriors will hit the road to Monterey Bay and East Bay this week.

This Week's Opponents

Friday, Jan. 20, 5:30 p.m.
at Cal State Monterey Bay OTTERS (11-2, 8-1 CCAA)

Series Notes: The Warriors are 10-6 against Cal State Monterey Bay (CSUMB joined the CCAA in 2007), but the Otters have won four straight.

Last Time We Met... was on Feb. 25, 2011, in Seaside. Christin Gowan had 18 points but the Warriors shot just 22.4 percent in the 67-56 loss. Katie Busi pulled 11 rebounds in that game.

About the Otters: Cal State Monterey Bay saw its nine-game winning streak end in La Jolla on Saturday when the Otters lost to No. 2 UC San Diego, 91-63. It was the Otters' first CCAA loss … CSUMB's only  other loss this season was against Simon Fraser (68-63) … CSUMB averages a CCAA-best 6.7 3-pointers per game … Three Otters average 10 points or better per game. Brittani Jefferson averages 11.2 points, 8.5 rebounds per game.

Saturday, Jan. 21, 5:30 p.m.
at Cal State East Bay PIONEERS  (5-10, 2-7 CCAA)

Series Notes: Cal State Stanislaus and Cal State East Bay split the season series last year, each winning the home game. The Warriors lead all-time 12-6 and are 3-1 over CSUEB during CCAA play. East Bay became a CCAA team in 2009.

Last Time We Met... was on Feb. 12, 2011 in Hayward. Cal State East Bay won 67-50 for its first CCAA win over the Warriors. Christin Gowan, Jeanette Rowe and Katie Busi each scored 11 points. Busi also had 11 rebounds.

About the Pioneers: Cal State East Bay is 1-5 in its last six games after dropping both road games last weekend (at CSUSB and at UCSD) … Lauren Lucchesi leads with 9.6 points per game … The Pioneers allow just 35 rebounds per game to their opponents, which is second best in the conference.

Three-Game Skid Ended
Cal State Stanislaus snapped a three-game losing streak with a solid, 57-53, win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday by hitting the free throws when they mattered the most.

Henderson Keeps On Scoring
There is no slowing down for Theresa Henderson as they turned in two career-best scoring games last week. She first netted 25 points on Friday against Cal State L.A. for a new career-high in scoring. Then, she topped that off with a 28-point out-burst on Saturday. Henderson now averages 21.2 points per game and leads the CCAA by nearly five points (UCSD's Chelsea Carlisle averages 16.5 ppg).

Oh, She Rebounded too!
Theresa Henderson also crushed the boards for 24 total rebounds in two games (12 rebounds per game average). She now averaged 9.9 rebounds for the season, which is second best in the conference.

Dominating Peformances
With two more double-doubles, Theresa Henderson now has seven straight such games and 10 for the season. She has also scored 20 or more points in six consecutive games (nine for the year). Since the calendar turned to 2012, in the last five games, Henderson has averaged 24.8 points and 11.2 rebounds per game.

Not Just A One-Women Show
Yes, Theresa Henderson is the go-to player and leading scorer, but other Warriors have stepped up and contributing on different nights. Jameiz Terrell made four three-pointers and finished with 14 points in Friday's game while Lauren Godde scored 10 and grabbed seven rebounds. Saturday night, Erin Godde was in the middle of things with a game-high 12 rebounds. Lauren Godden again chipped in 13 points with six boards.

Better Defensive Effort
Saturday night, Stanislaus held Cal State Dominguez Hills under 33 percent shooting (and 26.7 percent from the arch) and that translated into a win. When opponents shot under 40 percent, the Warriors are 4-1 this season.

Dynamic Trio
Theresa Henderson, Jameiz Terrell and Lauren Godde are providing most of the offense for Cal State Stanislaus. The trio accounted for 49 of the team's 64 points (76.5 percent of the offense) on Friday and 50 of the 57 points (87.7 percent) on Saturday.

Shooting Long Bombs
Aside from Jameiz Terrell, the rest of the Warriors are struggling when trying the three-pointers. Terrell, who is fifth in the CCAA with a 39.3 percent success rate, was 5-for-14 last weekend (4-8 on Friday). The rest of the team, however, went 3-for-20 (1-for-12 on Friday).

Down to Eight
Due to injuries, the Warriors are down to eight players on the active roster. The short bench means more minutes for players, but fatigue becomes a factor the following night.

Missing in Action
Three Warriors are currently sidelined with injuries with two players out for the rest of the season. Amber Scott and Ashley Navarro are out for the year with ACL reconstruction surgeries. Jasmine Scott is out with a head injury and is awaiting evaluation and clearance. Her return date is to be determined.
