Box Score ONTARIO — The on-again, off-again contest versus Pacifica was played as scheduled — and the Warriors used it to flex their offensive muscles as Cal State Stanislaus doubled-up the Gladiators, 116-58, Monday afternoon.

The 58-point win is the Warriors' biggest margin of victory since Dec. 2, 1988. It is the Warriors' second 50-plus point win this season (the Warriors beat UC Merced 105-57 on Nov. 14). In 1998, Stanislaus defeated Whitter College, 126-65.

Alek Carlson nailed five three-pointers and finished with 19 points. Marcus Walters contributed as well with 11 points and nine rebounds and Sam Marcus dished eight assists.

As a team, the Warriors made 11 three-pointers, seven of them in the second and outscored Pacifica, 67-32 in the second half.

The game, as part of the Coyote Holiday Classic at Ontario's Citizens Business Bank Arena, was hosted by Cal State San Bernardino. However, the no one really knew if the game was going to happen until mid-morning on Monday.

Pacifica was a no-show for its scheduled contest at UC San Diego in La Jolla on Sunday as rumor had it that its basketball program was canceled due to personnel issues. However, host administrators and the Stanislaus coaching staff received confirmation that Pacifica indeed will participate in the event on Monday morning.

The tournament, which also includes Cal State Dominguez Hills, Azusa Pacific and Cal Baptist, continues this evening and Tuesday on the site of the 2013 CCAA Basketball Championships.

Cal State Stanislaus will face Cal Baptist Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. CBU is 6-0 before its Monday night match-up against host Cal State San Bernardino.
