ROHNERT PARK — The Cal State Stanislaus women's tennis team improved to 7-3 on the season by beating Sonoma State, 7-2, on Saturday.

The Warriors close out their regular season road schedule as they will remain home for the next three matches. Cal State Stanislaus is also scheduled to participate in the prestigious 112th Ojai Tennis Tournament in late April.

Cal State Stanislaus will be busy this week with three home events when the Warriors host Hawaii Hilo on Sunday and Hawaii Pacific on Tuesday. UC San Diego visits Turlock on Friday, April 20.

Against Sonoma State on Saturday, Verena Preikschas had the easiest time on the day with no-doubt wins in both doubles and singles play. After pairing up with Katie Eng for a 8-0 win at No.1 doubles, Preikschas beat her counterpart Megan White at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-0.

Also on Saturday, Davina Meza, Eng, Kelsey Chrisco and Heather Cotter were all victorious in singles action. McKenzy Harden and Cotter won their No. 3 doubles match, 8-4.
