Box Score LA JOLLA -- Okay, perhaps they have now earned the label as Road Warriors. With a strong second half, the Cal State Stanislaus men's basketball team rallied to beat UC San Diego Saturday night to conclude a 2-0 road trip.

Ray Mitchell scored 20 points and Nick Hodge added 17 as the Warriors improved to 6-6 overall and 3-5 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association following the 77-67 win at RIMAC Arena.

Trailed by 10 points at the half, the Warriors exploded in the second half, outscoring the Tritions 53-33 for the comeback win. Stanislaus shot 65.2 percent from the field and hit 21 of 26 free throws.

The road win completes a perfect weekend during one of the tougher roadtrips in the CCAA. All three of the Warriors' CCAA wins were posted away from home. Further, five of the six wins this season were recorded on the road (including the two tournament wins in Ontario in December).

With the win against UC San Diego (3-8, 2-6 CCAA), the Warriors extended their win-streak over the Tritons to five games.

Marcus Walters chipped in 14 points on the night to add to his recent tally. In the last four games, Walters had amassed 80 points for a 20-point per game average. Sam Marcus also scored 11 points and handed off seven assists to help the cause.

The Warriors will return to Southern California for two more games next weekend at Cal State Dominuguez Hills and Cal State L.A.
