Box Score TURLOCK — Cal State L.A. cashed in on its free throw attempts while Cal State Stanislaus didn't. That more or less summed up the night for the Warriors as they fell to the Golden Eagles, 56-50, Friday night inside Fitzpatrick Arena.

The Golden Eagles made 18 of 25 free throw attempts, including 8 of 12 in the final two minutes as they improved to 15-8 overall and 12-7 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

The Warriors, led by Nick Hodge's 12 points, fell to 9-14 overall and 6-13 in the CCAA. Stanislaus converted on just 5 of 13 free throws (38.5 percent).

The rest of the stat sheet was pretty blanced — from the field goals made to three-pointers missed (teams missed a combined 35 and made five) to fouls. LA did out-rebound Stanislaus (46 to 34 with 31 defensive boards) and blocked nine shots.

Cal State L.A. was led by Jordan Richard who had 10 points and 14 rebounds. The Golden Eagles only played seven men with the bench scoring 12 points.

Taylor Bell and Marcus Walters each chipped in eight points for Stanislaus. Wes Bartole had eight rebounds to go with seven points as well.

Cal State Stanislaus wraps up its home schedule Saturday night when it hosts Cal State Dominguez Hills at 7:30 p.m.
