About the Wildcats: Chico State also lost both games at L.A. (66-73) Saturday and Cal State Dominguez Hills (42-64) Friday … Brooke Bowen is fifth in the CCAA with 7.5 rebounds per game (8.7 points). Hannah Womack leads the Wildcats with 13.3 pointer per game (10-for-31 three-pointers).
Third D-I Team This SeasonNevada will be the Warriors' third Division I opponent this season, during a 3 1/2 week span, on Wednesday. Stanislaus played against two D-I teams in preseason exhibitions in November, at Pacific and at Fresno State. The game at Nevada will count in the Win-Loss records.
Home For the Holladay(s)Riley Holladay will be visiting her home when the team gets into Reno Tuesday. The sophomore is from Reno, Nev., and went to Spanish Springs High School, where she was a prep standout.
Beat Chico, Twice!The Warriors beat Chico State twice last year for the first time during the CCAA era (since 1998-99). Stanislaus upset the No. 6 ranked Wildcats on Nov. 26, at home in Turlock, 71-68. Then held off Chico to win an overtime thriller, 83-82, in Chico on Dec. 21.
Stalled OffenseCal State Stanislaus was coming off back-to-back 80-point games before the L.A. trip last week. The Warriors had averaged 78.3 points per game in the first three contests, but scored 64 and 63 points, respectively at Cal State L.A. and Cal State Dominguez Hills.
Rare OT LossFriday's overtime loss — when L.A.'s Franeka Hall hit the jumper at the buzzer — was the Warriors' first extra-period loss since the 2012-13 finale (at Cal State East Bay). Before Friday, Stanislaus was 9-1 in the previous 10 games when playing in overtime, dating back to the 2006-07 season. The Warriors are now 12-5 in overtime games since the start of the CCAA era in 1998-99.
Washington Doubles UpJasmine Washington has now scored in double-digits in four of the five games this season and averages a team-leading 12.4 points per game. She's coming off a 19-point, 9-rebound weekend total from the road trip. Washington now has 18 double-digits scoring games in her career.
Holladay Back in the LineupRiley Holladay, who started in 25 of 26 games as a freshman last season, made her return to the starting five on Friday (she also started on Saturday) in place of
Cassidy Sanders-Curry.
Forcing TurnoversSaturday night's game at Cal State Dominguez Hills was the first time this season that a Warrior opponent did not commit more than 15 turnovers (CSUDH had 15). The Warriors, which made Cal State L.A. turned the ball over a season-best 35 times Friday, have tallied 131 turnovers for a CCAA-best 26.2 per game average.
Bergman Won't Face Hometown TeamYes, there is a familiar name on the Nevada roster: Turlock's own Halie Bergman. However she will not be playing against the Warriors. Bergman, who spent the last season at Pacific, has to sit out the year due to the transfer rule. The two-time All-State guard is Turlock Christian High School's all-time leading scorer with 1,761 career points.
Head Coach Wayman StricklandWayman Strickland is in his third season as the head coach of the Warriors. After inheriting a team in July, 2012 (and went 2-25 in his first season), he has turned the program around with a very competitive 13-13 season in 2013-14. Prior to his arrival at Stanislaus, Strickland was an assistant coach at Delta College. He spent nine years as a professional player in Europe and Asia after a stellar four-year career at the University of San Diego (1988-92), where he amassed 1,040 career points and 408 assists.

CCAA Basketball ChampionshipsThe 2014-15 CCAA Men's & Women's Basketball Championship tournament will be held at the beginning of March. Six teams qualify for the event to be held at the Stockton Arena. The winner of the tournament would receive the automatic bid for the NCAA tournament.
Getting Back to the TournamentThe last time a Warriors women's basketball team qualified for the conference tournament was in 2010-11 when the Warriors lost at Cal Poly Pomona, 76-55, in the first round. Stanislaus also played in the 2009 CCAA tournament (lost at Humboldt State, 82-61).
Vying For the PostseasonIt has been 11 seasons since the last time the Warriors made the NCAA postseason. Stanislaus went 18-10 in the 2002-03 season and played in the opening round of the NCAA tournament in Seattle (116-106, OT, lost to Cal State Bakersfield).
