Harden picks up lone victory against #14 Fresno Pacific

TURLOCK — McKenzy Harden was the only Warrior with a win on Monday but the young Stanislaus team played a strong 14th ranked Fresno Pacific team tough before falling, 8-1.

Harden defeated her opponent Matilda Ackered in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1, at the No. 2 position to improver her personal record to 6-3 overall this season. The senior from Ceres also undefeated at 3-0 playing at the No. 2 position.

The freshmen trio J'Ana Diamond, Jessica Laurie and Analyssa Tallas, all dropped their singles matches.

Diamond and Laurie played a really strong match at No. 1 doubles against Petra Jurova and Angelika Sobiecka before lsing 9-7.

The Warriors (3-4) will be back on the court again on Saturday with a noontime match at Sonoma State.
