SAN RAFAEL — The Dominican University of California women's tennis team closed out its home scheduled with a 7-2 victory over Cal State Stanislaus on Sunday afternoon at John F. Allen Athletics Complex.
The No. 10 regionally-ranked Penguins (9-5) established a 3-0 lead with strong doubles play, and got a pair of singles victories from seniors Irina Morozova and Emily Prescott. Morozova and Prescott paired up to take No. 1 doubles, 8-3, over
McKenzy Harden and
Jessica Laurie.
J'Ana Diamond and
Analyssa Tallas picked up the only two points for the Warriors at No. 3 and No. 4 singles. Diamond defeated Caitlin Aloia, 6-1, 6-4 and Tallas beat Chloe Vicari, 7-5, 6-1.
The Warriors will face Division I Cal State Northridge on Monday at 1 p.m.
