vs. Sonoma State Seawolves (6-10, 1-6 CCAA), Fitzpatrick Arena | [Live Stats] [Live Video & Audio] [Live Audio]

Series Notes: The Warriors swept Sonoma State last year — and 4-2 in the last thee seasons — and improved to 42-30 all-time (14-20 CCAA) against the Seawolves. The teams only meet once in 2015-16.

Last Time We Met... was last Feb. 21 in Rohnert Park where the Warriors won 53-36 as SSU shot just 36.9 percent. Briana Cotton had 12 and Riley Holladay grabbed seven rebounds to lead Stan State.

About the Seawolves: Sonoma State is 2-8 in its last 10 games with a two0game skid … Hannah Sourek (8.2) and Madison Burroughs (8.1) are the top two scorers … The Seawolves ranks second worst in scoring during CCAA games at 55.6 per game.

Saturday, Jan. 16, 5:30 p.m.
vs, San Francisco State Gators (4-9, 2-5 CCAA), Fitzpatrick Arena | [Live Stats] [Live Video & Audio] [Live Audio]

Series Notes: The Warriors are 40-32 all-time against SF State after the Dec. 5 win. Stanislaus will be looking for a series sweep for the first time since 2005-06.

Last Time We Met... was on Dec. 5 in a 61-54 Warriors win in San Francisco. Alysa Valentine lite-up the Gators with eight consecutive three-pointers for 26 points that night. Cassidy Sanders-Curry had 15 points and six rebounds.

About the Gators: SF State lost both games at home last weekend, including a 93-34 loss to UC San Diego … Laura Lawson leads the Gators with 10.5 points and 9.5 rebounds a game … SFSU averages a CCAA low 48.3 points per conference game.

Warriors Notes

Still Perfect At Home: The Warriors look to defend home court once again as they are so far 5-0 inside the Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena. With two wins this weekend, they can go 7-0 for the first time during the CCAA era. Stanislaus teams have gone 6-0 at home once before in 1999-2000.

Low Scoring Games Ahead?: There might be some low scoring games this weekend as the Warriors host the two worst scoring teams in the conference while featuring one of the best scoring defenses. In CCAA games, Stanislaus ranks third best allowing just 57.6 points a game. Sonoma State ranks second worst in scoring at 55.6 points per game and SF State averages a CCAA-low 48.3 per contest.

Conference Winning Streak: The current four-game California Collegiate Athletic Association winning streak is the longest since the 2009-10 team finished the season with five straight wins. The 1999-2000 team also had a five-game winning streak. The 2002-03 team won six straight during CCAA play.

Larsen Posts More Big Numbers: Erika Larsen continued to play like she owns the paint as one of the tallest players in the CCAA at 6-foot-3. Larsen scored a season-high 16 points with eight rebounds in Saturday's win at Humboldt State. In the last four games, she's averaged 11.8 points and 9.3 rebounds a game — the best four-game stretch in her career, so far.

No Break From Holladay: Riley Holladay, too, has been great in the last four games as she's tallied 54 points, 32 rebounds, 15 assists, four blocked shots and five steals. In the 10 games before that, she had a total of 32 points.

Who Needs 10-ppg Players! A sure sign of a collective unit contributing to wins, the Warriors do not have a single player averaging more than 10 points a game. Reana Hardin is close as the team leader at 9.5 points per contest. She averaged 16 points per game in the last two outings.

More Streaks Snapped: This past weekend, Stan State snapped more negative streaks as a program. The Warriors won at Cal Poly Pomona for the first time since 2003, ending a 12-game losing streak there. On Saturday, they beat Humboldt State in a CCAA game for the first time in 10 tries in Arcata.

Valentine Loves the Gators: Alysa Valentine had a historical performance the last time the Warriors faced SF State, back on Dec. 5. After missing her first three-point try early in the game, Valentine made eight consecutive three-pointers to set two Warriors team records and tied two CCAA records. She ended up with a career-high 26 points on 8 of 13 (8-9 3FG) shooting.

Staying Ahead of the Game: Stanislaus is now 8-0 when jumping out to a lead after the first quarter. They are also 8-2 when leading at halftime and 8-0 with a lead or tie after the third quarter. The Warriors have also been able to close out games when they are ahead, posting a 9-1 record when leading at the 5:00 left to go mark.
