This week the Warriors begin their streak of four matches in eight days. They travel to San Francisco State on Tuesday, head over to Cal State East Bay on Friday, and finish off the week at Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday.

Series Notes: Tuesday will be the first time that the Warriors are facing San Francisco State this season. The Warriors are 12-17 against the Gators, having beaten them twice in 2015. The Gators were able to take a single set off the Warriors in San Francisco last year, alternatively the Warriors beat the Gators in straight sets at home … On Friday Stan State will be up against the Pioneers for the second time in 2016. On Sept. 17 the Warriors beat the Pioneers in straight sets at home. Overall the Warriors are 9-7 against the Pioneers, splitting one win, one loss in 2015 … Similarly, the Warriors are facing the Otters for the second time this season on Saturday. The Warriors beat the Otters in straight sets at Fitzpatrick Arena on Sept. 16. Overall the Warriors are 10-15 against the Otters, with two victories in 2015.
Massengale's At It Again: Once again middle blocker
Taylor Massengale dominated the Warriors front row last week. Between the six sets she played, Massengale only made two hitting errors, one per match. She finished the match against Chico State with 10 kills, and had 12 over the weekend against Humboldt State. Massengale had the highest hitting percentage amongst her teammates, hitting .450 against the Wildcats and .579 against the Lumberjacks.
CCAA Standings: Currently the Warriors are second in the northern division of the conference. Their win last weekend against Humboldt State was vital, bumping them up from third place. At the end of the regular season the top four teams from each division compete for the conference championship and a bid into the NCAA tournament in San Bernardino.
On the Road Again: After playing 11 matches at home over the course of five weeks, the Warriors will be spending the next five matches on the road. Over the next two weeks the Warriors will be tackling five of their six northern division opponents. The Warriors begin with San Francisco State on Tuesday, and head right back to the Bay for the weekend against Cal State East Bay and Cal State Monterey Bay. Next week the Warriors will travel to Sonoma State on Tuesday the 18
th, and finish off their stretch of travel at Chico State on Saturday the 22
nd.
About San Francisco State: The Gators' are being led by Haley Halpert averaging 2.81 kills per set. She is assisted by Linda Aerne who averages 7.94 assists per set. Backing the Gators offense is Emily Johns who leads in the back row with 3.92 digs per set.
About Cal State East Bay: Kiki Leuteneker leads the Pioneers' offense with an average of 3.13 kills per set. She is backed by Deja Thompson with 2.93 kills per set. Brandi Brucato and Katie Ireland lead the Pioneers back row, Brucato with 4.98 digs per set and Ireland with 4.35 digs per set.
About Cal State Monterey Bay: Leading the Otters' offense is Anela Visesio with an average of 2.75 kills per set. Setter Whitney Hirst averages 7.49 assists per set, and Ashlynne Armstrong controls the Otters' defensive efforts with 4.32 digs per set.
