LEXINGTON, Ky. --- The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has announced its 30 Under 30 award winners, honoring up-and-coming coaches in college, club, and beach volleyball. Stan State volleyball top assistant coach
Maggie Billingsley is a recipient of the AVCA 30 Under 30 Award. Billingsley becomes the second member of the Warriors' staff to earn the distinction in as many years, joining volunteer assistant coach
Ari Amini, who received the honor in 2024.

Billingsley joined Stan State in July of 2023 as the Warriors' top assistant coach under head coach
Lauren Flowers. She brought with her a wealth of collegiate coaching experience, entering her eighth season at the intercollegiate level at the time of her arrival in Turlock.
"I'm incredibly honored to receive this recognition from the AVCA," said Billingsley. "I'm always striving to learn and become the best coach I can be, and I'm grateful for the mentors and student-athletes who challenge and inspire me every day. Volleyball has given me so much, and I feel lucky to be part of a program and community that pushes me to keep getting better."
In her time with the Warriors, Billingsley has helped lead Stan State to back-to-back CCAA Tournament berths, including capturing the 2024 CCAA Volleyball Tournament Championship. The Warriors also received a bid to the 2024 NCAA Division II West Regional Championship. She has also helped coach 13 All-CCAA honorees, highlighted by an AVCA All-American selection, 2024 CCAA Libero of the Year

Prior to Stan State, Billingsley served as an assistant coach at Colorado State University Pueblo during the Spring 2023 season. Before her time with the Thunderwolves, she was on staff at Western Colorado in Gunnison, Colo., where she served as an assistant coach and later as the interim head coach.
The Lemoore, Calif., native has also coached at Holy Names University, Notre Dame de Namur University, and the College of San Mateo. During her time at Holy Names (2020-2022), Billingsley helped guide the Hawks to their second-most wins since joining the PacWest Conference in 2012. In her first season on staff, HNU finished second in the Northern California Pod and had two student-athletes named to the All-NorCal Pod Team.
Billingsley began her collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant at Notre Dame de Namur in Fall 2018. She was promoted to interim head coach in Fall 2019, earning a victory in her first career match and later guiding the Argonauts to wins over PacWest rivals Dominican and Holy Names. She was officially promoted to head coach in January 2020 before the university discontinued athletics in March 2020.
Before transitioning into coaching, Billingsley was a standout setter at Notre Dame de Namur from 2014 to 2017. A four-year starter, she holds the school record with 2,958 career assists and 9.57 assists per set — both ranking ninth in PacWest Conference history. She also ranks second in school history with 99 career service aces, which stands 13th in PacWest history.
Billingsley earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur in Spring 2018. She later received her Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Management and Leadership from Holy Names in 2021.
