LOS ANGELES — The Stanislaus State women's basketball team dropped an 8-1 decision to Cal State L.A. on Saturday with the top doubles team earning a point in the contest.
Jaella Conway and
Cassidy Ferrell held off Nozomi Matsuoka and Iris Raileanu, 8-6, to earn the piont to improve to improve to 8-5 on the season. This spring they are not 3-1 in dual matches.
Coach
Verek Visaraga will use this weekend's matches as an experience for the season.
"We just need to play the big points better. We are getting there," Visaraga said. "This team is able to complete with most of the teams."
The Warriors will face Division I Cal State Northridge on Sunday to finish off the three-match Southern California road trip.
