SAN RAFAEL — The Stanislaus State women's tennis team successfuly opened the spring season with a 6-3 win over Dominican on Saturday.
The Warriors begain the day with two big victories in doubles completion in close matches. The top doubles team of Jaella Conway and Cassidy Ferrell defeated Rickimae Torres and Brooke Briseno, 9-7. At No. 3 doubles, Analyssa Tallas and Ebone Qualls took down Solveig Karlsen and Cori Beeby, 8-5.
In singles play, J'Ana Diamond won the top singles match-up in three sets and Stan State also won at No. 3, 5 and 6 singles play with wins by Ferrell, Ebone Qualls and Tallas.
