SURPRISE, Ariz. — In the consolation round of the PacWest Women's Tennis Tournament, the Stanislaus State Warriors easily blanked Dixie State, 6-0, Thursday night, ending the Warriors' season on a winning note.

The Warriors took command of the match by winning all three doubles matches to start the evening as No. 1 Jaella Conway and Cassidy Ferrell defeated Lacey Hancock and Karolin Kukaras, 8-4. J'Ana Diamond and Ebone Qualls won at No. 2, 8-2, and Lamella Belgica and Analyssa Tallas defeated their opponents at No. 3 doubles, 8-3.

In singles play, Qualls won first, at No. 5 over Samantha Yacano, in straight sets, 6-3 and 6-0. Then Tallas easily beat Kaylee Tarver, 6-0 and 6-1 just as Diamond won at No. 2, 6-0, 6-3 over Hancock. Officials end the match as the Warriors clinched with victory at 6-0, leaving three singles matches unfinished.

The win was Stan State's second over Dixie State (5-13) this season. The Warriors beat the Trailblazers, 8-1, back on Feb. 13 in Turlock.

Stanislaus State, seeded No. 9 in the tournament, was making its first appearance in the conference tournament. The Warriors dropped a close 5-3 match to Concordia Irvine on Wednesday to end up in the consolation bracket.

The Warriors end the 2016 season with a 9-10 record.
