Series Notes: Stan State has a losing record against the Tritons, going 6-25 against them since 2001 with a 3-game losing streak.

Cal State San Bernardino COYOTES (9-5, 6-4 CCAA)
Series Notes: The Warriors are 11-26 to the Coyotes overall, losing to them twice and defeating them once last season.
Last Time We Met... was on Mar. 1 of last season in the first round of the CCAA tournament. The Warriors hosted the Coyotes at home, and ended their season with a 66-76 loss.
About the Coyotes: The Coyotes offense is being led by Mya Johnson with an average of 14.8 points per game. She shoots at 42.8 percent from the field and 72.9 percent from the free throw line. Johnson also leads her team in rebounding with 9.5 rebounds per game ... Overall, the Coyotes shoot at 37.1 percent from the field, and 66.9 percent from the free throw line.
Four to Finish: Stan State is nearing the end of the regular season with only four home competitions left. This week will be the Warriors last chance to host a full CCAA weekend, before finishing their home schedule with two Thursday games on Feb. 9 and Feb. 16. The Warriors have a 6-2 record on their home court, which will be challenged as they are about to face two of the conferences' top five teams.
Road Victory: Last Thursday the Warriors gave an immaculate performance at Cal Poly Pomona, beating the Broncos 84-68. Stan State defeated Cal Poly Pomona by 16 points, their largest margin of victory this season. As a team the Warriors shot 57.8 percent, an incredible high for the team this year.
Cassidy Sanders-Curry shot 77.7 percent (7-for-9) from the field, and 75 percent (9-for-12) from the free throw line.
Riley Holladay was also 75 percent from the free throw line and 62.5 percent from the field. Three more Warriors shot 60 percent or better with four or more attempts from the free throw line ... Also in Thursday's game, two Warriors increased their personal best in points scored in a single game this season. Angelica

Lizzy Alexander totaled eight points.
CCAA Playoffs: After taking home their first loss in five games, the Warriors are now sharing their second place CCAA spot with Cal State East Bay. Fortunately for the Warriors, their 8-3 league record makes them a strong contender for the conference tournament that begins in late February. The first round of the tournament will be on Feb. 28, and its location is still to be determined. The winners of the first-round match-ups will travel to Cal State San Marcos the following week to battle for the tournament title and a bid into the NCAA Division II tournament.
Warrior Defense: So far this season the Warriors have been known as one of the top defensive teams in the conference. Currently in the CCAA, Stan State is ranked second in the defensive scoring category (56.6 points per game). The Warriors are ranked third in opponent field goal percentages, (35.5 percent). Stan State is placed at fourth for opponent three-point percentage. On average, the Warriors keep their opponents shooting around 27.4 percent from the three-point arc ... At the hoop, the Warriors are still able to maintain their defensive prowess. Stan State is third in the conference in blocked shots, blocking an average of 3.45 shots per game. Stan State is also home to the top shot blocker in the conference,
Erika Larsen, who averages 1.3 blocked shots per game.
Sharp Starters: Stan State has potentially one of the smartest starting lineups in the CCAA, with four of their five starters nominated for the CoSIDA Academic All-District team. To be eligible for this honor a player must have a grade point average at or above a 3.3 at their current institution.
