This week Stan State will be on the road, competing in both a conference and a nonconference matchup. On Tuesday the Warriors will travel to Fresno Pacific, tipping off at 5:30 p.m. After the holiday Stan State will head to Chico State to take on the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Larsen in The Lead
Last week senior center Erika Larsen gave two impressive performances against Cal State San Bernardino and Cal Poly Pomona. On Wednesday against the Coyotes, Larsen was one of two players leading the Warriors with 14 points, a new career record, all of which she made from the paint. She also tagged on seven rebounds, three offensive and four on defense ... During Saturday's victory over the Broncos, Larsen earned her first double-double of the season, the fifth in her career. She scored 11 points going 5-for-8 from the field, and had a whopping 13 rebounds, a new season best, nine of which were defensive grabs. After the first week of conference play, Larsen is tied for third in the CCAA, averaging 10 rebounds per CCAA game.
CCAA Leaders
After week one the Warriors lead the conference in steals per game. As a team, Stan State has averaged 13.5 steals per CCAA competition, 3.5 above the second place teams, Cal Poly Pomona and Humboldt State ... The Warriors also hold the top two individual leaders in the category. Zahria Hendrix leads the conference with 3.5 steals per game, and Caprina Pipion is next on the list with 3 steals per game on average.
Hendrix
Against Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday, Freshman Zahria Hendrix impressed with 17 points to lead the game. Hendrix also led the team in assists (4) for her third time this season. She also had 14 points in Wednesday game against Cal State San Bernardino, giving her 31 points in two games.
Continuing The Streak
Before Saturday's matchup against Cal Poly Pomona, the Warriors hadn't lost to the Broncos since 2015. Earning the victory on Saturday, Stan State has now extended the streak to four consecutive games.
Nonconference Competitions
Despite the commencement of the CCAA season, the Warriors still have four nonconference competitions left for the season. Stan State has two more nonconference matchups in Novermber followed by two more in late December. The Warriors will take on Fresno Pacific on Tuesday and Holy Names next Monday, Nov. 27. In December, Stan State will play the University of Nevada, Reno, their final Division I opponent of the season, on Dec. 12, followed by Academy of Art three days later on the 15th.

Fresno Pacific SUNBIRDS (1-3)
Series Notes: The Warriors are 7-4 against Fresno Pacific, having only played them twice in the past decade. Stan State defeated the Sunbirds in both 2014 and 2015.
Last Time We Met... was on Nov. 30, 2015 at home. The Warriors hosted the Sunbirds in a non-conference competition, defeating FPU 65-57.
About the SUNBIRDS: Megan Lee leads the Sunbirds offense thus far, averaging 12.3 points per game, and Landynn Munster follows with 11.8 points per game. Cassie Pislk is the leading rebounder for Fresno Pacific, with an average of 6.3 rebounds per game ... Last week the Sunbirds traveled to CSU Bakersfield on Tuesday, losing 63-74, and beat UC Merced on Saturday 71-10.
Chico State WILDCATS (1-2, 1-0 CCAA)
Series Notes: Stan State is 10-25 against the Wildcats sinc 1999. Last Season the Warriors played Chico State twice in a three-day period, leaving with a victory both times.
Last Time We Met... was on Feb. 18 of last season at Chico State. Stan State defeated the Wildcats 63-57 on their home court.
About the WILDCATS: Whitney Branham is the leading scorer for the Wildcats, scoring an average of 26.3 points per game. She shoots 57.4 percent from the field and is 12-for-12 from the free-throw line. Branham is also the CCAA leader with 31 points per CCAA competition on average. Kayla Taylor leads Chico State with 6.3 rebounds per game ... Last Saturday the Wildcats hosted Humboldt State, winning 70-58.
