LA JOLLA — The Warriors' top doubles team is making a case as one of the better duos in the West.

Cassidy Ferrell and Jaella Conway, Stanislaus State's No. 1 doubles pair, took down UC San Diego's Britta Mosser and Shannon Theisen on Sunday before the Warriors fall to the Tritions by a team score of 8-1.

Ferrell and Conway had a relative easy time with the 8-1 win before UCSD took wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles action.

In singles competition, Jaella Conway took her opponent Becky Chou all the way to super-tiebreakers in a thrilling finish. After each taking 6-1 wins in the first two sets, the No. 3 singles players rallied all the way to 13-11 to decide their match, in favor of Chou.

The match between Grossmont College and Stanislaus State, scheduled for Saturday was changed to Sunday morning, but ultimately the contest was canceled due to rain.

The Warriors, ranked No. 15 by ITA in the last poll (Nov. 21) are now 2-2. They are scheduled to take on Sonoma State next Saturday in Rohnert Park.
