SAN RAFAEL — Four different Warriors posted wins in either singles or doubles competition, but Dominican outlasted the Stan State women's tennis team, 6-3, on Saturday.
J'Ana Diamond and
Ebone Qualls won at No. 2 doubles, 8-4, over Rickimae Torres and Alex Wartenberg to score the Warriors' first point of the day.
Then, Stanislaus won the top two singles matches with
Jaella Conway posting a 7-6, 6-3 win over Skyler Schaar at the No. 1 position. At No. 2,
Cassidy Ferrell took cared of Torres in a long battle, edging out the win in three, 6-3, 2-6 and 10-7 in super-tiebreakers.
Qualls, too, had a lengthy, hard-fought match at No. 4 singles before Wartenberg squeak out the 7-5, 3-6, 10-5 decision.
