ROHNERT PARK – The Stanislaus State women's tennis team put up a tough fight against Sonoma State but unfortunately went 0-9 against the Seawolves at the SSU Tennis Courts on Saturday afternoon.
Miliaana Proft came up just short of a win, taking her match into a third set after winning the second 6-3. Her opponent Carolyn Brooner won the decisive set 10-1.
Sonoma, ranked No. 18 in the ITA Rankings, swept through doubles play to start the day with 8-4, 8-2 and 8-1 wins.
At noon tomorrow Warrior tennis will matchup against the No. 7 Urban Knights of Academy of Art at the San Francisco Tennis Club.
