TURLOCK - Hosting their first of three matches this weekend, the Stanislaus State tennis team dominated Holy Names 7-2 on Friday afternoon at the Stan State Tennis Courts. 

Now 3-9 for the season, the Warriors swept through doubles play taking all three wins by four or more points. In No. 1 doubles Cassidy Ferrell and Kayla Nguyen defeated the top Hawks pair 8-4. Megan Hagerty and Taylor Galya were victorious 8-2 and Ebone Qualls and Miliaana Proft took home a clean 8-0 victory. 

No. 57 Ferrell took a second win in singles play, taking down Jahan Bayramova 6-2, 6-1. Proft won her match 6-3, 6-2, Qualls took home a 6-0, 6-0 victory, and Galya won 6-2, 6-3. In other singles matches Nguyen was defeated 6-0, 6-4 and Hagerty lost 6-1, 6-3. 

Tomorrow the Warriors will host Highline College in a nonconference match at noon at the Stan State Tennis Courts.
