TURLOCK — Make that four straight.

The Stanislaus State women's tennis team is wrapping up the current homestand nicely as the Warriors have won four straight matches after Tuesday's exciting -- and lengthy -- 5-4 win over Dixie State.

After taking two points in doubles competition with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 with victories by Cassidy Ferrell, Kayla Nguyen, Megan Hagery and Taylor Galya, the Warriors head into single play with momentum.

The singles competition saw many narrow, tight contests with Stan State taking wins at No. 2, 4 and 5 for the narrow win.

Nguyen had the biggest battle in a three-set match, and ultimately the decisive point. After losing the first set to Kyra Harames, 6-4, Nguyen rallied in the second and forced tiebreaker for the win. She completed the comeback with a 6-2 third-set decision for the win.

Miliaana Proft was Victorious at No. 4 with 6-4, 6-4 winner over Sabrian Longson while senior Qualls took down McKelle Burnett in straight sets.

The Warriors (6-9) have one more match during the stretch of six straight contests. They have won four straight with one more to go — on Thursday against UC San Diego.
