The team is now 5-7 overall and 1-3 in conference. The Seawolves rise to 6-6 overall and 3-1 in conference.
Stan State battled in those first and third sets as they played point for point. This was seen in the third set the most when the team was tied back and forth for most of that set.
Macky Morris had seven kills as did
Ellison Weaver. Weaver also had five digs.
Yisel Perez had six kills and four blocks. With 16 assists,
Haley Burdo once again was a great help to her team.
Ambria Schneringer brought in eight assists.
For the Seawolves, Jenn Trephan led with 27 assists and with 13 kills was Emily Eaton.
"We struggled in tonight's match. We weren't very aggressive and didn't communicate very well as a team. Sonoma is a great blocking team and they played well tonight. We will be working hard in practice and preparing for our games this weekend," said head coach
Maci Murdock.
Despite the loss, the Warrior women kept up with the Seawolves and are ready for their next match against Cal State East Bay on September 30 at 5 p.m.
