10/16/2022 10:13:00 PM

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – The Warriors took on Holy Names, Academy of Art, and Dominican in a two-day hidden dual, headlined by nine total singles and doubles wins in their final weekend of Fall competition.

DAY ONE – The ladies saw the Hawks, Urban Knights, and Penguins in each of their Saturday matches. Kate Bolton (6-1, 6-3), Zuzanna Dziewiecka (7-6, 6-3), and Maya Young (6-1, 6-3) each took match victories against Holy Names to make their presence felt in singles play, while the duos of Amber Huk/Dziewiecka (6-2) and Annabelle Mulick/Tay Cazarin (6-1) secured doubles wins over Dominican. Huk managed to take her singles match to three sets after a quick bounce back 6-3 second set win, the deciding set couldn't swing in her favor after going the distance to 6-10.

DAY TWO – Sunday's lineup put Stan State up against the host Penguins in singles matches. Leading the way was Huk (6-1, 6-2), Dziewiecka (6-4, 6-2), Young (6-1, 7-5), and Jaedyn Hendryx (4-2, retired) with wins of their own. The Warriors couldn't manage to pick up doubles victories against Holy Names and Academy of Art, but two air-tight finishes for Huk and Dziewiecka's each resulted in a 4-6 final. As the Fall season comes to a close, the Warriors have amassed nearly 16 singles wins and 9 doubles victories.
