Makayla Rose poured in a career-high 23 points in a win over Fresno Pacific on Wednesday and followed that up with a 22-point performance against Chico State on Saturday night to earn her first CCAA Player of the Week award in her short time with the Warriors. Rose averaged 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game over Stan State's two games last week.
In total, the Roseville native put up 45 points on 17 of 36 shooting from the field (47.2%), while grabbing 11 rebounds and seven steals. She was also went 8-13 from the foul line.
In a home game against Fresno Pacific, Rose went 50% from the field on 8 of 16 shooting. She pulled in season-high six boards for the game and came away with three steals to go with her career-high scoring output. At Chico State, Rose had a career-high four steals and five rebounds with a team-high 22 points.
The Warriors will face #19 Cal State San Marcos and Cal State LA this week at home on Thursday and Saturday.
