Tennis Heads to Nevada for the Wolfpack Invitational

LAST MATCH: Warrior Tennis opened up its fall season Sept. 17-18th with a trip to University of the Pacific for a two-day tournament up in Stockton. Senior Kate Bolton, Sophomore Annabelle Mulick, and Freshman Jaedyn Hendryx headlined the singles as they each won their opening matches to advance to the Quarterfinals. Bolton and Mulick took a two set win in round two. Women's doubles saw the duo of Mulick and Tay Cazarin win their first match against UOP 6-4 before falling 2-6 in the quarterfinals. Warrior partners Amber Huck and Zuzanna Dziewiecka, Maya Young and Hendryx, Alyssa Tay and Bolton were unable to advance through the rounds. 

UPDATE ON THE WARRIORS: Stanislaus State brings in a mixed bag of newcomers and returners this season, welcoming one true freshman in Hendryx from California Connection Academy and Canada College transfer Dziewiecka who hails from Warsaw, Poland. The team will head to Wolfpack Invitational at University of Nevada this weekend for a three-day tournament at the McArthur Tennis Center.

Warriors Head Coach Verek Visaraga on this weekend's upcoming matches, "We are looking forward to a good season. We are returning all 6 players from last year's squad. Out of those 6 players we have 4 seniors returning: (Talamantes, Young, Bolton, and Huk), I believe these seniors will bring the needed experience to compete in one toughest conferences in the nation for Women's Tennis; the Pac West Conference! Our other returners: (Tay and Mulick) will also be making a competitive impact in our line-up this upcoming season! Our two new additions are our local freshman from Ripon Jaedyn Hendryx and our transfer player from Poland; Zuzanna Dziewiecka will be immediately strengthen our singles/ doubles line-up. This weekend at UNR will be a good opportunity for our team to solidify our singles and doubles for the Spring season."
