"I have been privileged to coach Danny (Gomez) and even more we as a program have been blessed to have a person of such high character a part of our team over the past two seasons," said Stan State head coach Morgan Cathey. "We have had a very small part to play in Danny's development and truly this achievement comes from his willingness and desire to get the most out of every opportunity. He has earned everything and modeled an unparalleled commitment to growth. We are all behind you and can't wait to support you on this great journey ahead!"
