TURLOCK, Calif.---  After defeating Cal State East Bay 79-73 on the road on Saturday evening, Stan State returns home to face nationally ranked Cal State Los Angeles and Cal State Dominguez Hills this Thursday and Saturday, February 1 and 3 at The Fitz.  The Warriors will face No. 25 Cal State Los Angeles this Thursday at 7:30pm.  This Saturday, Stan State will face Cal State Dominguez Hills (who is receiving votes in the most recent national poll), at 3pm.  Saturday's Game will be Jessica's House Appreciation Day and Cancer Awareness Game.    
 
WARRIORS:  Stan State is 6-13 overall and 3-10 in the CCAA.  The Warriors are averaging 65.6 points per game while giving up 71.8 points per game.  They are being outrebounded 37.5 to 36.4.  John Wade III leads the way with his 12.0 scoring average, 50 assists, and 29 steals. Dontrell Hewlett is averaging 11.8 points per game.  Daniel Ameyaw leads the team with his 9.1 rebounding average, 13 blocked shots, and 50.4% shooting from the field.  Tony Singleton has connected on a team high 39 treys and shooting a team leading 39.4% from beyond the arc.  Micah Boone leads the team with his 82.9% shooting from the charity stripe.  
 
STAN STATE HEAD COACH PAUL TREVOR: Coach Trevor enters his seventh year as the head coach at Stan State and 14th year overall coaching.  He is 177-169 in his fourteen years including 70-83 on the sidelines in Turlock.  During his 14-year coaching career, Trevor has coached 27 All-CCAA honorees including eight First Team selections and one CCAA Newcomer of the Year.  Two players have been named to the preseason All-American Teams with one receiving All-American honors and three All-Region honors.  In 2016-17 at SF State, he guided the Gators the NCAA Division II Tournament for the first time in 23 years and he was named the NABC West Region Co-Coach of the Year while the Gators were ranked  No. 22 in the end of the season national NABC rankings.  
 
ROAD TRIP:  Stan State split its two games in the Bay Area this weekend.  The Warriors lost 72-42 at SF State on Thursday. They rebounded with a 79-73 victory at Cal State East Bay on Saturday.  The trio of Micah Boone (11.0 ppg), Dontrell Hewlett (10.5 ppg), and John Wade III (10.0 ppg) all averaged double figures in scoring for the Warriors. Jonathan Tchengang and Wade each averaged a team high 7.5 rebounds per game. Boone shot 60% from the field and from beyond the arc.  He also lead the Warriors with his 87.5% shooting from the line.  Wade had a team leading eight assists and four steals. 
 
ONE POSSESSION GAMES:  Four of Stan State's losses have been by three points or less.  Two of their four victories have been by three-points in Fresno Pacific (56-53) and Dominican (63-60). Their four losses were to Point Loma (82-79 overtime), Cal State Dominguez Hills (65-63), Cal State Monterey Bay (63-62), and Sonoma State (61-59).  
 
TRIO OF DOUBLE-DOUBLES: Daniel Ameyaw recorded his first double-double as a Warrior in Stan State's 82-77 victory over Western Oregon in Rohnert Park, Nov. 17.  Ameyaw was four-for-seven from the field and two-for-three from the charity stripe.  He grabbed four offensive and six defensive rebounds to go with his five assists, two steals, and one assist. His second double-double came in the Warriors' win over SF State in which he had 18 points and 12 rebounds.  Ameyaw's third double-double came in the Warriors' 95-83 loss at Cal State Los Angeles.  He scored 14 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.  
 
NATIONALLY RANKED: Stan State is 39th in the nation in three-point field goal percentage defense.  The Warriors are letting their opponents to just 31.2% shooting from beyond the arc.  
 
RANKED IN THE CCAA:  Stan State is third in the CCAA in three-point field goal percentage defense (31.2) and offensive rebounding (10.9).  The Warriors are fifth in free throw percentage (75%), rebounding (36.4), and steals (7.16).
 
John Wade III is tied for fifth in steals per game (1.6), sixth in steals (29), tied for sixth in assists per game (2.8), and eighth in assists (50).  Tony Singleton is second in treys made (39), three-point field goals made per game (2.3), and three-point field goal percentage (39.4%).  Daniel Ameyaw is fourth in rebounding (8.1) and fifth in total rebounds (137).
 
CAL STATE LOS ANGELES:   The Golden Eagles are 14-5 overall and 9-4 in the CCAA after splitting their last four games.  They went 0-2 this past weekend losing 73-70 at Cal State San Bernardino and 70-67 at Cal Poly Pomona.  Cal State Los Angeles is averaging 78.8 points per game while giving up 71.0 points per game. The Golden Eagles are being outrebounded 39.2 to 29.2.  Four players are averaging double figures in scoring in Shane Bell (13.0 ppg), Corey Cofield (12.3 ppg), Eche Okeke (12.1 ppg), and Dominic Escobar (11.5 ppg).  Bell leads the team with his 81 assists, 34 trey's made, 45.9% shooting from three-point land, and 52.8% shooting from the field.  Escobar has recorded a team high 35 steals while Okeke has a team high 18 blocked shots.  Cofield leads the team with his 5.3 rebounding average.  
 
LAST TIME:  Cal State Los Angeles defeated the Warriors 95-83 in Los Angeles on Dec. 9, 2023.  John Wade III had 25 points to lead the Warriors.  Daniel Ameyaw had a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds while Tony Singleton chipped in 18 points.  Shane Bell had a game high 29 points to lead the way for CSULA.  
 
ALL-TIME SERIES:  The Golden Eagles lead the all-time series with the Warriors 19-11 since 2008.  Stan State has won three of the last five meetings.  The last Stan State victory was on Dec 3, 2022 in Turlock, 73-69.    
 
CAL STATE DOMINGUEZ HILLS:  The 22n ranked Toros are 16-3 overall and 11-2 in the CCAA.  They have won seven games in a row including three in overtime (94-89 at SF State, 87-84 at Cal State East Bay, and 101-87 at Cal Poly Pomona).  CSUDH is averaging 76.5 points per game while giving up 69.8 points per game. The Toros are being outrebounded 36.3 to 35.8.  The trio of Jeremy Dent-Smith (16.1 ppg), Jakob Alamudun (14.9 ppg), and Andre Ball (11.3 ppg) lead the way for CSUDH.  Alamudun leads the team with his 47.2% shooting from the field, 42.9% shooting from three-point land, and 85.9% shooting from the line.  Dent-Smith has made a team high 36 treys to go with his team leading 25 steals.  Jayden Winfrey has dished out a team high 53 assists and Alex Garcia has blocked a team high 16 shots.  
 
LAST TIME:  Cal State Dominguez Hills defeated the Warriors 65-63 on Dec. 7, 2023, in Carson.  Jeremy Dent-Smith hit the game-winner with 27 seconds left. Tony Singleton had 18 points to lead Stan State while Dontrell Hewlett chipped in 12, Jonathan Tchengang 11, and John Wade III 10 points.  Jakob Alamudun and Jeremy Dent-Smith each had 19 points to lead CSUDH.  
 
ALL-TIME SERIES:  CSUDH leads the all-time series 17-12 with the Warriors.  The two teams have split the last four meetings.  The last time Stan State in Turlock was on Feb. 26, 2022, a 77-58 victory.
