Alyssa Tay and the Warriors will host Dominican this Friday at noon

Warriors will Face a Pair of PacWest Opponents This Friday and Saturday

TURLOCK, Calif.--  Stan State will return to the courts this Friday-Saturday, March 1-2 when the Warriors face Dominican and Fresno Pacific in PacWest Conference match-ups.  They will host Dominican in a rematch from earlier this month this Friday, March 1 at noon.  Stan State will travel to Fresno for a 10:00 a.m. match with Fresno Pacific this Saturday, March 2.
 
WARRIORS' LAST MATCH: Stan State fell to 1-4 overall after a 6-1 loss to Hawai'i Hilo Sunday afternoon at the Stan State Tennis Courts.  Zuzanna Dziewiecka was the lone Warrior victor at number one singles, 6-4, 4-6, 10-5.  
 
LAST TIME VS. THE PENGUINS:  Earlier this season on February 10 in San Rafael, the Warriors lost 6-1 to Dominican.  Annabelle Mulick was Stan State's victor at number two singles by a 6-1, 6-3 decision.
 
OTHER STAN STATE MATCHES:  The Warriors started their season with a 7-0 decision in Rocklin, calif, on February 3.  Victors at doubles were at #1 Zuzanna Dziewiecka/Emma Yu, at #2 Annabelle Mulick/Abbigail Mulick (6-2), and at #3 Alyssa Tay/Nicollet Alexander.  Winning at singles were Dziewiecka at number one, Annabelle Mulick at number two, Tay at number three; Abbigail Mulick at number four, Yu at number five, and Jaedyn Hendryx at number six singles.  Besides their matches against Hilo, Dominican, and Jessup, the Warriors lost 7-0 at Fresno State and to Academy of Art. 
 
PENGUINS:  Dominican is 3-1-1 enter its match on Friday against the Warriors.  The Penguins won their first three matches this spring by 6-1 decisions over Jessup, Stan State, and Cal State Los Angeles. This weekend, they tied 3-3 with Fresno Pacific and lost 4-3 to Hawai'i Hilo.
 
SUNBIRDS:  Fresno Pacific will host Concordia University this Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. before hosting Stan State Saturday morning at the Haak Tennis Complex in Fresno.  The Sunbirds are 1-5-1 as they have lost 4-0 at Azusa Pacific, 7-0 at Biola, 7-0 at Fresno State, and  7-0 to Saint Mary's College before defeating Jessup University 7-0.  They tied Dominican 3-3 and lost to Academy of Art on the road this weekend.  
 
UP NEXT:  After their Saturday match in Fresno, the Warriors will host a pair of matches March 5 versus Dallas Baptist (10am) and March 10 versus the University of Nevada (noon).
