Warrior women's tennis to face Menlo and CSULA this Thursday and Saturday in a pair of road matches

Women’s Tennis to Begin Six-Match Road Trip Versus Menlo and Cal State Los Angeles

TURLOCK, Calif.---  Stan State women's tennis will begin a season long six-match road trip with a pair of matches this weekend.  The Warriors will face Menlo College this Thursday at noon in Atherton, Calif.  They will travel to Fresno, Calif., for a neutral site match with Cal State Los Angeles at 5:00 p.m. on the campus of Fresno Pacific University.  
 
LAST MATCHES:  The Warriors lost their three matches last week at home to Nevada and Dominican.  Stan State lost 4-0 and 7-0 in a pair of matches to Nevada on Sunday, March 10.  This past Saturday, the Warriors lost 6-1 to Dominican University.  Annabelle Mulick won her number three singles match by a 6-4, 6-1 decision for the Warriors' victory. 
 
TWO OF HER LAST THREE:  Annabelle Mulick has won two of her last three matches with victories over Dominican and Dallas Baptist.  She is also 3-9 at doubles parking with her sister Abbigail Mulick and Zuzanna Dziewiecka (who is 4-10 at number one singles for the Warriors.
 
FIRST TIME:  Stan State will face Menlo College this Thursday for the first time.  The Oaks are 4-2 entering their match with the Warriors.  They won their last three matches in a row 4-0 to Hope International, 4-3 to UC Santa Cruz, and 5-1 to Westmont.    
 
CAL STATE L.A.:  The Golden Eagles are 1-9 entering their Friday's match with Academy of Art in Fresno.  The only win was a 4-3 victory over Westmont in Santa Barbara.  Cal State Los Angeles leads the all-time series with the Warriors 8-6.  Stan State has lost the last straight eight matches including a 6-1 loss on March 31, 2022, in Turlock.  Stan State's last victory over the Golden Eagles was a 7-2 victory on April 3, 2011 in Turlock.  
 
COLORADO HERE WE COME:  After Saturday's match in Fresno, the Warriors will return to the courts for three matches in the State of Colorado.  They will face Colorado Mesa on April 1 at 2pm (MT) in Grand Junction, Colo.  Two days later at 4pm (MT), Stan State will face MSU Denver in Denver.  They will finish their trip in Pueblo, Colo., for a match with Colorado Sate Pueblo at a time to be announced on April 4.  After their match against the Thunderwolves, Stan State will return to California for a match with UC Davis in Davis, Calif., at 3pm on April 7.
 
BACK HOME TO TURLOCK:  Stan State will return home after its eight-match for a match against Fresno Pacific on April 10.
