Warriors to recognize its three seniors after the conclusion of the Hanny Stanislaus

Warrior Men’s Golf to Host 49th Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational, March 25-26

TURLOCK, Calif.---  After their sixth-place finish at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout, March 11-12, the Stan State Warriors will host the 49th Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational this Monday-Tuesday, March 25-26, at the par-72 Turlock Golf & Country Club in Turlock, Calif. Sixteen teams from the NCAA Division II West Region's three conference (California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC), and PacWest Conference) will be competing in this Hanny Stanislaus.      
 
LAST TOURNAMENT:  Stan State finished tied for sixth place with Western Washington with a two-under par 866 at the par-72 Corica South Corse in Alameda, Calif., March 11-12. Nate Jetton led the way with his five-under par 211 which put him in a three-way tie for tenth place.  Finishing three strokes behind Jetton was Jack Peters with a two-under par 214 followed by Chris Chomyn's one-over par 217.  Jarred Hernandez was next with a 227 followed by Ray Rosas' 233.
 
RANKED:  In the recent SCOREBOARD rankings, sponsored by Clippd, Stan Sate is eight in the West Region and the Warriors are 68th in the nation.  Chico State is first in the region while the Wildcats are 36th in the nation followed by Cal State East Bay second, 37th.  Cal State Monterey Bay is third, 38th followed by Cal State San Marcos fourth, 48th, and Cal State San Bernardino fifth, 51st, Sonoma State sixth, 57th,  and Simon Fraser seventh, 60th.  Rounding out the top ten is Hawai'I Hilo ninth, 79th, and Western Washington tenth, 79th.  
 
CHOMYN/JETTON:  Chris Chomyn is ranked second in the region in 58th in the nation.  Nate Jetton is sixth in the region and 87th in the nation. 
 
CCAA CO-GOLFER OF THE WEEK: For the first time in his collegiate career as a Warrior, Chris Chomyn was named the CCAA Co-Men's Golfer of the Week with Cal State San Marcos' Greg Mouser for their performance at the CSUSM Fujikura Invitational, February 12-13. 
 
REPRESENTING THE WARRIORS:  Stan State will have its whole team competing in the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational this Monday and Tuesday in Chris Chomyn, Jarred Hernandez, Camdan Indelicato, Nate Jetton, Bradley Olson, Jack Peters, Drew Pritchard, and Ray Rosas.
 
WARRIORS AT HANNY STANISLAUS:  Stan State finished in sixth place out of 16-teams at the 48th Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational, March 27-28.  The Warriors shot an 887 (293-296-298) to finished them in sixth place.  Western Washington captured the team title with an 871 followed Simon Fraser (881) and Chico State (882).  WWU's Jordan Lee was the individual medalist with a four-under par 212.
 
Nate Jetton shot an even-par 216 to finish in a three-way tie for third place.  Chris Chomyn was two strokes behind Jetton with a two-over par 218 to finish in a three-way tie for seventh place. Chris Ebster finished in a tie for tenth place with a three-over par 219.

SENIOR DAY:  After the conclusion of the Hanny Stanislaus Awards Ceremony, Stan State will hold a Senior Day Ceremony for the Warriors' three seniors in Chris Chomyn, Jarred Hernandez, and Nate Jetton.

UP NEXT:  After the Hanny Stanislaus, Stan State will return to the course to participate in the Hot Dirt Desert Shootout, April 4-6, at the Golf Club of Estrella in Goodyear, Ariz.  The Shootout will be hosted by Colorado Christian University.  That will be the Warriors' last tournament of the regular season.  They will return to the course, April 22-24, in Santa Rosa, Calif., to compete in the 2024 CCAA
