SURPRISE, Ariz.--- As announced yesterday by the PacWest Conference office, the Stan State Warriors will face Biola University in the First Round of the 2024 PacWest Conference Tennis Championships in Surprise, Ariz., at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Club at 9:00 a.m. this Wednesday, April 17. This is the second year in a row that the Warriors have received a berth to the championships

Verek Visaraga. "They are a well-coached team and they have been pretty competitive with the top teams this season in the PacWest. Our team has been improving every match for the last month, so I am looking forward to a competitive match against Biola. Go Warriors!"
The Warriors are one of the 12 teams from the PacWest that have qualified for the tournament. The four seeds of the tournament have received a first round bye in No. 1 Point Loma, No. 2 Azusa Pacific, No. 3 Concordia Irvine, and No. 4 Hawai'i Pacific.
If Stan State defeats the Eagles, the Warriors will face Concordia Irvine on Thursday, April 16 at 1:00 pm in the quarterfinals. If the Warriors lose to Biola, they will face the loser of the Fresno Pacific-Hawai'i Hilo match at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Consolation Round.
Stan State enters the match on Wednesday with a 5-12 record after defeating Jessup University this past Friday on Senior Day. Biola is 15-8 after defeating Westmont 6-1 this past Friday. This is the second match between the two teams. The Eagles defeated Stan State 4-3 on February 29, 2020, in La Mirada, Calif.
Annabelle Mulick leads the Warriors with her 11-8 record at number two and three singles. She is 6-12 at number one or two doubles.
Zuzanna Dziewiecka is 9-13 at number one singles and 9-11 at number one doubles.
