TURLOCK, Calif.----  Stan State men's basketball has added another future Warrior for the 2024-25 season in JJ Funk from Phoenix, Arizona.  Funk is a 6-7 post player who will graduate from Skyline Prep High School.

"We are really pleased to welcome JJ (Funk) to our Warrior Basketball Family," said Stan State head men's basketball coach Paul Trevor.  "AJ brings his tenacious style to our basketball program with his work ethic and athleticism."

Prior to attending Skyline Prep for his last two years of high school, Funk attended Canyon Ridge High School in Twin Falls, Idaho, for his freshman and sophomore seasons.

While in Idaho, Funk was two-year letter-winner at Canyon Ridge High.  Funk was a two-time All-Conference honoree in Idaho. 

During his junior and senior seasons, Funk was a member of the Skyline Prep High School's national team in Phoenix, Arizona.  Funk played three years of AAU basketball for Coach Josh Herfel as the member of the Utah Hard Knox. 

This is the second signing that Coach Trevor has announced for the 2024-25 season joining Fabian Reichstadt who is a 6'8 junior transfer from Gavilan College.
