TURLOCK, Calif.----  Stan State will return to the tennis courts this Friday-Saturday, April 12-13 when the Warriors host Jessup University and Academy of Art University.  In a battle of the Warriors on Friday, Stan State will face Jessup University in a 1:00 p.m. starting match on Student Affairs Day.  Prior to their match on Saturday versus Academy of Art around 11:45 a.m., the Warriors will recognize Zuzanna Dziewiecka on Senior Day. 

 LAST WEEK:  The Warriors went 2-2 in their four matches over Spring Break.  They went 2-1 on their trip to Colorado with victories over Colorado Mesa (5-2) and CSU Pueblo (6-1) and a 5-2 loss to MSU Denver.  Stan State (4-12) was led by Annabelle Mulick who went 3-1 at number three singles and 2-2 at number one doubles.  Zuzanna Dziewiecka was 3-1 at number one singles and 2-2 at number two doubles.

SECOND YEAR IN A ROW:  Stan State has qualified for the 2024 PacWest Tennis Championships in Surprise, Ariz., April 17-20.  Heading into this weekend, the Warriors are seeded eleventh with the final seeding's being announced this Sunday, April 14.

FRIDAY VS. JESSUP:  The Jessup Warriors are 2-9 heading into this week. Stan State defeated them earlier in the season 7-0 in Rocklin, Calif. 

SATURDAY VS. ACADEMY OF ART:  The Urban Knights of Academy of Art are 9-5 heading into this week.  They defeated Stan State 7-0 earlier this season in San Francisco. 

SENIOR DAY:  Prior to the match on Saturday, the Warriors will recognize their senior Zuzanna Dziewiecka in a ceremony on the Stan State Tennis Courts.
