TURLOCK, Calif. — Stanislaus State men's soccer standouts Adrian Yepez and Samuel Villanueva have been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team, recognizing their excellence both on the pitch and in the classroom.

To qualify for CSC Academic All-District® honors, student-athletes must hold a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 (not rounded up) and must have competed in at least 90% of their team's total games played or have started in at least 66% of those contests.

Villanueva, a senior defender and First Team All-CCAA selection, started all 18 matches he appeared in and recorded 2 goals and a team-leading 13 assists for 17 total points. He was named the CCAA Tournament Offensive MVP after setting a new single-season program record for assists and becoming Stan State's all-time assists leader with 17 career helpers. Villanueva anchored a Warrior back line that allowed just nine goals all season while helping the team win the CCAA Tournament championship and advance to the NCAA Division II Super Region IV Third Round for the first time in program history.

Yepez, an attacking midfielder and Honorable Mention All-CCAA pick, started 18 of 19 matches and contributed 2 goals and 7 assists for 11 points across 1,108 minutes of play. His seven assists tied for fourth on the program's all-time single-season list. Yepez's creativity and vision were instrumental in linking play through midfield and fueling one of the nation's most balanced offenses as the Warriors achieved a program-record 17 wins during a historic 2025 campaign.

Stanislaus State, ranked No. 3 nationally, will host No. 8 Midwestern State in the NCAA Division II Super Region IV Third Round on Sunday, November 30, at 3 p.m. at Warrior Stadium.

The Academic All-District® award is the first step toward CSC Academic All-America® consideration, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for combined performance on the pitch and in the classroom. The 2025-26 Academic All-America® teams will be announced on December 16.
