Tau also appears among the league leaders, sitting third in the conference in field goal percentage at 48.7 percent. As a team, Stan State continues to show improvement in several statistical areas as conference play begins.
Newcomer Impact
Stan State's early-season production has been fueled by its newcomer trio of Gardner, Tau, and Hukill, who have quickly established themselves as the core of the Warriors' rotation. Gardner provides a strong interior presence with her scoring and rebounding consistency, while Tau adds physicality and efficiency in the post as an 11-point-per-game contributor. Hukill has made an immediate impact on the perimeter, supplying 7.8 points and 4.0 rebounds per game along with steady defensive work and reliable minutes. Together, the trio forms the foundation of Stan State's growth as conference play continues.
Double-Doubles
Gardner recorded her first double-double as a Warrior earlier this season, posting 17 points and 10 rebounds in the Nov. 22 matchup at Jessup. Hukill came close to joining her in the Nov. 26 game at Fresno Pacific, finishing with 10 points and 8 rebounds in one of her strongest all-around performances to date.
